AIS CEO Robert Adams said National Skills Week (26 August – 1 September) was an important opportunity to highlight the diverse skills that can be achieved through vocational education qualifications and pathways, and to recognise the sector’s contribution to Australian lives, businesses and economic growth.
“The VET pathway can lead to rewarding and well-paid careers as has been shown in research pointing to the strong career outcomes available through skills and training.
“The aim of National Skills Week to raise the status of vocational learning and enable all Australians to gain a greater understanding of the opportunities, potential, and contribution it makes to a successful, modern economy is one that we fully support,” he said.
