There is clearly a thirst for knowledge about industry trends and the new wave of disrupters that will have a significant impact on the workforce skills of the future.

The first Australian Industry Standards (AIS) Skills Development Workshops, to be held in Melbourne and Perth in the coming weeks, have attracted a capacity attendance.

Details on workshops to be held around the country in 2018 will be communicated shortly.

The workshops are also aimed at fostering a clearer understanding of the Training Package development process and how stakeholders can be involved.

AIS CEO, Robert Adams, said “AIS is delighted with the interest in the initial workshops. We are excited about the opportunity to share ideas on strategies for meeting workforce skills needs now and into the future.”

What can you expect from the workshops:

  • An overview of the National VET system and Training Package development process
  • Insights into industry workforce trends
  • Opportunities to engage in the skills development process
  • Round table discussion on emerging skills needs
