DEF12 Defence Training Package Transition Project

Overview

The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) has commissioned the transition of all DEF12 Defence Training Package components to the Standards for Training Packages 2012. The Public Safety Industry Reference Committee (IRC) will have oversight of this project which will be facilitated by Australian Industry Standards in consultation with industry stakeholders. The project covers the transition of 19 qualifications, six Skill Sets and 110 Units of Competency.

On behalf of the Public Safety Industry Reference Committee (IRC), Australian Industry Standards have submitted the Defence Training Package Case for Endorsement inclusive of 155 Units of Competency, packaged in 23 qualifications to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) for endorsement consideration.

The Public Safety Industry Reference Committee (IRC) working with the Department of Defence have now completed the transition of the remaining DEF12 Defence Training Package products for inclusion into the next release of the DEF Defence Training Package.

Following an independent Edit and Quality Assurance process, the new DEF Defence Training Package products are now available for final viewing, prior to being submitted to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) for consideration.

This Case for Endorsement also includes the DEF Defence Training Package Project.
