TAC finalised drafts
The UEE Transition Electrical II-IV TAC has finalised the draft Training Package materials for this sub-project.
The draft materials will undergo an independent editorial and quality assurance process. Final drafts will be available for viewing after the finalisation of all sub-projects of the Electrotechnology Training Package Transition project.Go to UEE Transition Electrical Project

The Electrical II-IV Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) met on Wednesday, 1 November 2017 to review feedback received from committee members, and agreed to send draft qualifications and Units of Competency out for public consultation.

On Wednesday, 13 September 2017, the UEE11 Electrotechnology Training Package Electrical II-IV TAC met and commenced the transition of 12 qualifications and 138 associated Units of Competency to the Standards for Training Packages 2012.
Key actions and outcomes of this meeting were as follows:
- Examples of updated draft Units of Competency were presented to the TAC
- Validation of all 138 draft Units of Competency and relevant qualifications to commence
- Draft Units of Competency will be made available for public consultation after the next TAC meeting
The next TAC meeting is proposed Wednesday, 1 November 2017.

The Electrotechnology Industry Reference Committee (IRC) in coordination with Australian Industry Standards (AIS) is currently undertaking the next stage of the UEE11 Electrotechnology Training Package Transition Project.
If you would like to participate as a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) member for the Electrical II-IV TAC or have any questions about this project, please contact Industry Manager Jason Lazar via email email@example.com or on 0417 903 566 by COB Friday 4 August 2017.
The scope of this particular project is to transition 12 Electrical qualifications and 138 associated units of competency to the Standards for Training Packages 2012. The qualifications include:
Certificate II in Electrical Wholesaling
Certificate II in Technical Support
Certificate II in Winding and Assembly
Certificate III in Electrical Fitting
Certificate III in Electrical Machine Repair
Certificate III in Switchgear and Controlgear
Certificate IV in Electrical – Rail Signalling
Certificate IV in Electrical Equipment and Systems
Certificate IV in Electrotechnology – Electrical Contracting
Certificate IV in Electrotechnology – Systems Electrician
Certificate IV in Hazardous areas – Electrical
Certificate IV in Installation Inspection and Audits
The TAC responsible for this project will be formed in the coming weeks.
