Tony brings a strong business background to the AIS Board. Tony has worked in senior roles in the Mining and Resources industry, Maritime and Shipping, and the Road Transport and Logistics sectors, and was a Commissioner with the Australian Industrial Relations Commission. He is also a member of a several boards, including as an Employer Director of the Maritime Super Fund.

He has successfully established his own consulting business where he provides strategic advice to a wide range of both large and small businesses. In addition, Tony is actively involved in the local community in Northern Tasmania volunteering his time and expertise to support addressing social challenges including youth unemployment.

Tony is a fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute, a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (has completed the AICD course) and is an adjunct professor of the University of Tasmania.
