    Background

    The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) has commissioned the review and development of the AVI Aviation Training Package.

    The Aviation Industry Reference Committee (IRC) will have oversight of this project, facilitated by Australian Industry Standards (AIS) in consultation with industry stakeholders.

    This project will ensure the AVI Aviation Training Package aligns with Australia’s aviation industry regulatory requirements and responds to industry feedback and changed operational requirements.

    Legislation that contain Australian aviation safety rules form part of the ongoing regulation reform program. These are listed below:

    • Civil Aviation Act 1988
    • Civil Aviation Regulations 1988 (CAR)
    • Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 (CASR)
    • associated aviation legislative instruments
