CSC Technical Skills Review

Overview

The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) has commissioned a project to revise an existing qualification in the CSC Correctional Services Training Package. The project will review industry skills for individuals undertaking Community Corrections roles, and all Correctional Services personnel required to respond to emergency medical situations.

The project will include:

  • Review of 1 existing qualification
  • Review of 1 new Unit of Competency

The Corrections Industry Reference Committee (IRC) will have oversight of this project, which will be facilitated by Australian Industry Standards (AIS) in consultation with industry stakeholders. A Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will be formed for this project.

Regular updates will be posted on this page throughout the life of the project.

INDUSTRY SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS NEEDED

The Corrections IRC is forming a TAC for this project, seeking subject matter experts with relevant skills and experience in the corrections industry.

This project will focus on reviewing one existing qualification and developing one new Unit of Competency, with the aim of developing skills of individuals performing Community Corrections roles, and all Correctional Services personnel who respond to emergency medical situations.
