POL Police Negotiation


The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) has commissioned a project to revise an existing qualification in the POL Police Training Package. The project will enhance the skills of Police Negotiation Practitioners.

The project will include:

  • 1 revised qualification
  • 4 revised Units of Competency

The Public Safety Industry Reference Committee (IRC) will have oversight of this project, which will be facilitated by Australian Industry Standards (AIS) in consultation with industry stakeholders.

The IRC, in conjunction with AIS, is currently working with the Australian New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA) to revise the qualification for inclusion into the next release of the POL Police Training Package. The project is expected to be completed by March 2019.

As this material is sensitive in nature, initial requests for access to draft POL Police Training Package products is by written application only via email to Industry Manager Greg Spence.
