AISC outcome on the Electrotechnology Training Package
The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) considered the Electrotechnology Training Package Release 2.0 Case for Endorsement at its meeting 25 February, 2020.
The AISC has asked for further information from the IRC and directed it to lodge a single submission, incorporating all revised training products as per the table below, for consideration at the meeting of the AISC on 16 June, 2020.

In order to meet this deadline the draft Case for Endorsement will shortly be circulated to all State Training Authorities for consultation and feedback for a period of 3 weeks. At the same time, all draft products will be available on the AIS website for viewing. At the end of the consultation period all STA feedback will be submitted to the IRC for review, before an IRC approved Case for Endorsement is submitted to the AISC.

Release 2.0 Case for Endorsement submitted to AISC
The draft Training Package materials for Release 2.0 have been submitted to the AISC.
Thank you to all stakeholders who provided valuable feedback and contributed to this project.
Release 3.0 is on track to be finalised and submitted in April 2020.

The TAC have prepared draft materials for this project and would like your feedback.
This round of consultation includes elective units from the Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, Certificate III in Electrical Fitting and Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) qualifications. There are no core units included in this round of consultation as they are currently being drafted to ensure they align to industry needs. Revised core and new units, will be released in future consultation rounds.
