UEE Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

This project is part of the UEE Electrotechnology Training Package Review Project.

Overview

The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning TAC has been assigned to the following:

  • Review three qualifications
  • Review 52 associated Units of Competency
  • Develop up to two new Units of Competency to provide skills in the area of handling A2 refrigerants.

Handling of A2 refrigerants

A2 category refrigerants are flammable and pose significant threat to life and business operations if they are not handled and recovered by suitably qualified technicians.

To meet the need for skilled technicians, a project to develop two new Units of Competency has been commissioned by the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC).
