Power Generation Subject Matter Experts Needed

Your industry expertise and insight is welcome to update the Certificate II in Remote Area Essential Service to include new power generation technology skills and provide clear vocational pathways to enhance employment opportunities for remote areas communities.

Changes in power generation technologies provides opportunities for remote area communities to increase support to ongoing power generation maintenance and repair, emergency technical response (generation plant breakdowns), and the ongoing monitoring and reporting of remote power generation installations.
The ESI Generation Industry Reference Committee (IRC) proposed to update the Certificate II in Remote Area Essential Service to include new power generation technology skills and provide clear vocational pathways to enhance employment opportunities for remote areas communities.
The expected submission of the Case for Endorsement will be submitted to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) by 30 October 2020.
VIEW 2019 IRC SKILLS FORECAST
The ESI Generation IRC will have oversight of this project which will be facilitated by Australian Industry Standards (AIS) in consultation with industry stakeholders. A Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will be formed for this project.
