The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) has commissioned the transition of all UET12 Transmission, Distribution and Rail Sector Training Package components to the Standards for Training Packages 2012. The ESI Transmission, Distribution and Rail Industry Reference Committee (IRC) will have oversight of this project which will be facilitated by Australian Industry Standards in consultation with industry stakeholders. The project covers the transition of 16 qualifications, 18 Skill Sets and 223 Units of Competency.

Transitioning to the Standards for Training Packages 2012
All Training Packages are required to comply with the Standards for Training Packages 2012. The Standards apply to the design and development of Training Packages for endorsement consideration by the Australian Industry and Skills Committee.
The Standards for Training Packages 2012 are available at the Department of Education and Training website.
