PUBLIC SAFETY BUSINESS CASE – POLICE TRAINING PACKAGE

A Business Case has been developed by the Public Safety Industry Reference Committee (IRC) setting out the strategic and evidentiary case (including an analysis of the level of industry support) for a partial review of the POL Police Training Package (Release 1.0), inclusive of qualifications, skill sets and units of competency. This is to include:

  • Diploma of Policing
  • Advanced Diploma of Police Supervision
  • Advanced Diploma of Police Investigations
  • Graduate Certificate in Forensic Firearm Examination
  • Advanced Police Investigation Skill Set

The Business Case responds to the Australia New Zealand Council of Police Professionalisation (ANZCoPP) regular review of training requirements in the policing profession, ensuring that the material within the POL Police Training Package is current, relevant and meets the needs of the policing industry.
