Australian Industry Standards (AIS) will be facilitating a series of skills development workshops nationally. These workshops build on the highly successful AIS Skills Forum held in August this year.

At AIS, our focus is on supporting industry in the development of high quality qualifications for their workforce. The new wave of disrupters will have a significant impact on the skills required by industry. These workshops will provide an ideal opportunity to share ideas on strategies for meeting workforce skills needs now and into the future.

At the AIS Skills Forum, Robert Adams (AIS CEO) reaffirmed AIS’s commitment to providing more opportunities for engagement with industry stakeholders. This will further support Industry Reference Committees (IRCs) to identify workforce skills priorities.

The first of these national workshops will be held in Melbourne on 30 November and Perth 7 December 2017. Details on other workshops will be communicated shortly.

This is your opportunity to engage in skills development for the industries that AIS supports.

What can you expect from this event:

  • An overview of the National VET system and Training Package development process
  • Opportunities to engage in the skills development process
  • Insights into industry workforce trends
  • Round table discussion on collaborative approaches to skills development

Includes morning tea, lunch and networking opportunities.
