Continuing the conversation – Skills Forum ebook released

An eBook titled – Future Skilling Our Workforce – a national conversation has been released and will be officially launched in conjunction with the upcoming submission of the 2019 IRC Skills Forecasts.

The eBook reflects the aims and objectives of the Industry Skills Forums and the associated Leaders’ Dinners held nationally throughout late 2018 – to explore skills and workforce development issues in an age of digital transformation. It identifies the key high-level messages that emerged and outlines the specific State and Territory issues that were raised.

Feedback during the forums’ panel discussions and the Leaders’ Dinners, facilitated by respected journalist and author Kerry O’Brien, and the industry breakout sessions was highly valuable. The intelligence gathered directly informed the development of the 2019 IRC Skills Forecasts.  We hope you find the eBook useful and relevant to your industry and its workforce and encourage you to share it amongst your colleagues. The overwhelming sentiment from participants of the Forums and Leaders’ Dinners was that the conversations were timely and necessary, and AIS looks forward to the conversation being continued. You can view the eBook at www.futureskilling.org.au/ebook

The 2019 IRC Skills Forecasts will be submitted to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) by Tuesday, 30 April 2019.

In addition to the eBook, we have a limited print run available to order by request. To request a hard copy of Future Skilling Our Workforce – a national conversation, please email futureskilling@australianindustrystandards.org.au with your name, title, organisation and postal address.
