Robert has a deep understanding of the skill needs of industry and the challenges that face stakeholders in the sectors supported by AIS. He has extensive senior management experience in Human Resources in the brewing, rail, and road transport industries.

Robert has a deep understanding of the skill needs of industry and the challenges that face stakeholders in the sectors supported by AIS. He has extensive senior management experience in Human Resources in the brewing, rail, and road transport industries. At TNT, he was responsible for developing and executing a range of human resource strategies, focussing on organisational and leadership development, helping the company win national HR awards in 2007 and 2010.

Robert became a Board Director of the Transport & Logistics Industry Skills Council (TLISC) in 2006, moving into the role of Board Chair.  He was appointed CEO in 2011, and successfully led the company’s transition to AIS as a Government appointed Skills Service Organisation.

As CEO, Robert has been closely involved in VET policy development and implementation. He holds a Diploma of Adult Education, and completed the Value Based Management Program and the AICD Company Directors Course.
