Australia’s Public Safety industry is highly diverse, and comprises police, fire and rescue services, maritime rescue, emergency services and emergency management agencies, Defence, administrative and support functions.

 

Public safety IRC chair Mark Burgess:

“Vocational skills are extremely important for our workforce because they are about the skills on the ground – it’s the people on the ground responding to emergencies, responding to fires, rescuing people out in the ocean, on deployments, in floods.
